German-French Open Space Conference: Social entrepreneurship – a new perspective for civil society

Social innovation between the public and private sector

With the Open Space Conference “Social entrepreneurship – a new perspective for civil society”, crossborder factory has initiated a bilateral dialogue around the development of social entrepreneurship in Germany and France.

Together with French and German partner organisations from the education sector, civil society, science and economics, we would like to create interest among civil society institutions about this “third system”. The conference seeks to initiate a dialogue on experiences with the concept of “social entrepreneurship”, discuss differences and similarities in the legislative, political, social and economic conditions in Germany and France and to clarify the policy of the European Commission on the issue.

Through this German-French Open Space Conference, crossborder factory provides an attractive forum where instruments and content for a future German-French cooperation in this area can be developed. Ideas around social entrepreneurial action using its networks, knowledge, ideas and resources for the sustainable development of innovative solutions to socio-political issues in order to strengthen the two countries will be cultivated.
